Huion KAMVAS GT-221 PRO Review

The Huion Kamvas GT-221 Pro Review! …Made this AGES ago, life got BUSY, somewhere along the line I managed to ABSOLUTELY kill the resolution on the talking head clip… So yeah it looks terrible, BUT hopefully, the information is actually useful and covers some aspects of this drawing monitor/tablet display/pen monitor that others haven’t that I had to find out the hard way!

You can find the Huion Kamvas GT 221 Pro on Amazon here

The good:

Big display that you can really get your elbow in on. No more wrist RSI, use the full shape of your arm to leverage smoother lines and longevity!

Great stand that locks almost any angle

Great colour out the box

Quite a good price. 1/3rd of a Cintiq’s price for 80% of the Cintiq’s functionality

The screen feels good to draw on, anti-glare screen diffuses light well

A free back up pen for free, charge lasts ages as well!

Great support, replied fast, understood my problems and were very helpful

The bad

The pen doesn’t support colour picker mode. You have to use ‘Alt’ on your keyboard or set it as an ExpressKey on the side. Vital for me I felt

Mirrored express keys so you only get the 8, great for left or right-handed switch but maybe you could just flip the screen around and screw the stand on that way? I found it got in the way and so my solution was to pull in my PS window to allow some breathing room. Minor annoyance

Overall?

8/10

  1. Hi , I really loved this! its better if drawing directly on the screen . I was looking info about the XP-PEN Artist 22R Pro but this one looks so freakingly good too.
